Version 1.2 Alpha 4 - Early build with Windows 10 64-bit Installer
Pre-releaseThis is a test release to verify that existing Openroast functionality remains functional in the Windows 10 environment (as compared to Openroast 1.1). The code has been extensively refactored to incorporate the latest improvements made to the underlying driver (freshroastsr700 v0.2.1). This build allows Openroast to use the new PID controller and the underlying driver is expected to be much easier on your processor than previous builds.
The Windows Installer, at 31MB, is named Openroast_1.2.0a4_1.2.0a4.zip below. Please download the ZIP file, then open it by double-clicking on it once downloaded, and run the EXE file you find there. Once installed, you'll find the application shortcut in your Start pane area under 'Recently added' as well as under All Programs / O in the expanded app menu.
The installer has been lightened as much as possible, given the underlying dependence on Python and PyQt5. PyQt5 is a huge system, and a large number of elements were manually stripped out of it to reduce the overall size. This may cause a number of issues that should be reported as they are discovered.
