I have view files that are called c4.dsl, for example, but when I try to view them (ctrl-alt-p), the plugin creates the structurizr workspace.dsl, as it appears to be expecting the dsl to be in there, instead of another file name. Also, I don't have context highlighting, or anything else. Do I need to have the structrizr extension installed as well?

Regarding filename, Structurizr expects file to be named workspace.dsl only.
I am not aware of a change in that matter, which prevents as you noticed to preview other filenames, even if they are perfectly fine .dsl ones. May we tweak how we mount workspace to fix this.
Cornifer extension is stand-alone and should work with all .dsl & .dslf files. dslf stands for .dsl fragments, a notion I introduced here to discriminate between self-contained model and satellite ones. You should have syntax highlighting in both flavors.
