Crash when the Preview Handler loses its host

I have been using the Preview Handler for several days now in Windows Explorer and in Everything (the popular search program). Often when I close the Windows Explorer window or the Everything window, the Preview Handler crashes with this message:

Which in English means: "Preview Handler Surrogate Host does not work anymore"

Then comes this message:

So it seems that the Preview Handler crashes because it loses its host!

OS: Windows 7x64 SP1
