Quick summary

In latest version, you cannot run in-game. It will run for a split second when moving character but then walk. Some

times, it will just walk. Worked fine on an older pc with 0.0.24. Broken in 0.0.35

Details

when tilting the left anologue stick, the character moves, Tilting further should increase movement speed. It does not in build 0.0.35. Unfortunately for build 0.0.24, I cannot test the regression if it actually occurs in this version on my pc as 0.0.24 is way too outdated to even run the game on my current pc. the previous pc had this feature working just fine.

Invalid regression report, missing the last good build and first bad build

Yeah, I'm doing some testing, trying to get the earliest working good build. I can't test with 0.0.24 because I can't run this game with 0.0.24, cause that was the last build I played with it working.

I will add information when I have gotten it. I didn't intend to add this as a regression report tho.

It's looking more and more like a borked saved data or something... when I tried it on a new build of RPCS3 with a new saved data, the walking glitch didn't occur. I don't know why my previous saved data from versions 0.0.24 (0.0.11 earliest update) is causing problems.

Is there any way to fix the saved data or will I have to start from scratch on this game as well?

I just checked again with a new save after loading a second time, and the movement issue persists.

With a new game, I can walk forward just fine, just can't walk backwards very well.

This is not a regression report! This is a bug report, I believe. I suspect it's because of the new hardware requirements of Windows 11 that's causing this glitch between RPCS3 and the Game WKCII, but I don't know why.

We still need to know the cause, otherwise it's not really actionable. Try alternating between interpreter and recompiler and also overriding use llvm cpu name to "znver3" to use avx2 mode instead of avx-512.

Where do I override the llvm cpu name in RPCS3? Or is in the bios settings of my pc? I checked there but I don't have that.

I changed to Interpreter for both PPU and SPU encoder (Static) and it worked fine, just very slow.

IT also works with only PPU set to interpreter static, with any other SPU encoding settings.

Appears to work visa versa on either PPU and SPU settings set to static interpreter.
