Font rendering is sub-optimal

Describe the bug

Our new drawing library does not render fonts well at really small sizes. This is due to their anti-aliasing algorithm not using some form of clear type antialiasing (antialiasing designed specifically to deal with text).

Expected behavior

Text, especially at small sizes, should be rendered clearly.
