Does not work on switch #408
Comments
Can you provide more details? Any error messages, or does it just direct you to the default featured servers? Also review the troubleshooting if you have not already https://github.com/Pugmatt/BedrockConnect/wiki/Troubleshooting |
Already tried most of the troubleshooting. But yes featured servers don't even show any sign of redirecting and I've even tried connecting to Hive regardless and I don't get the server list at all. Simply doesn't even attempt to redirect |
Experiencing the same issue on switch. Could not connect to server: outdated server and unable to connect to world are the two errors that occur when trying to connect using The Hive Switch Minecraft version 1.20 We've updated our bedrock server to 1.20 but the Switch isn't even getting to the server list provided from 104.238.130.180 |
This was due to a 1.20 Update. OP's problem has not been solved. But this was fixed in the latest commit 8c508d8 |
Comfirmed resolved using a Switch running 1.20 |
Still seeing issues here on my nephew's switch. I modify the DNS to my local computer's address, and it just "fails to connect to DNS" |
what instance are you using? |
I tried all of the official instances, plus my own through localhost. Setting the alternate DNS to 8.8.8.8 also didnt let me see the server list. |
after changing did you restart your nephew's switch as some consoles need to be restarted to clear dns cache |
I have not. I will try this next time I see him, thanks for the info. Just wondering, the switch says I need to: "login to nintendo and xbox accounts to play online", do I need to do this? My goal is to allow him to play with me on a server I host off my laptop through my local network. |
yes you do need to login with a nintendo and xbox account. if you are using the official bedrock server software for the server it should show up in the friends tab under the lan section. Edit: a better solution maybe https://github.com/rtm516/MCXboxBroadcast if you only want one server |
What happened?
I've used all public instances, Not a single one has worked
Expected Behaviour?
For it to say join to open server list
Steps to reproduce.
Change DSN
Open on switch
