Problem

Currently, when users encounter an error message, they're often sent to the community question page, which isn't very useful.

As per this insight flagged by @joethreepwood, these users often end up raising a support ticket.

Suggested solution(s)

  • Create a docs page that explains all the toast errors, what they mean, and what the user should do about them.
  • Have toast messages point to this new page, instead of sending people to questions.
  • Potentially identify bad error messages and improve them.

@MarconLP @abigailbramble @slshults @darkopia @benHPostHog -- If there are errors you've got questions about, heard questions about, or seen then would be good to add them here please!

  • We can probably find the toast component in app and find all the places it is used.
  • Better than creating toast pages, would be creating and linking to FAQ for the specific products
