Can't get any of the demos work??

I essentially want to play around with this page...
http://www.polymer-project.org/components/core-scroll-header-panel/demo.html

So I downloaded paper elements from here..
http://www.polymer-project.org/docs/elements/paper-elements.html

and opened up "components/core-scroll-header-panel/demo.html" in chrome but was empty, I tried all other html files. But all were empty as well. I'm just not getting it. I love this material design but I can;t seem to view a small demo.

Check JavaScript console for errors, maybe you're missing files or have
them in wrong place.

Load file thru a webserver or disable security on your browser. file://
didn't work for me either
