document.querySelector containing ::shadow fails in Firefox 30 #551

document.querySelector("core-scroll-header-panel::shadow #headerBg");

This for example works great in the latest version of Chrome, it fails in Firefox with the following error.

SyntaxError: An invalid or illegal string was specified

document.querySelector does work in Firefox as long as the selector does not contain "::shadow".

Is there a work arround for this?
