Do you have lxc-templates package installed? Is /usr/share/lxc/templates/lxc-debian present?

You might want to check out https://github.com/apertussolutions/openxt-manifest/ and https://github.com/apertussolutions/bordel to build OpenXT. It eliminates the mandatory use of containers and SSH used by build-scripts.
