Supply side research: Common concepts and standardisation

Design choices in the development of the Open Fibre Data Standard must be grounded in an understanding of current practice in sharing and publishing data on fibre optic networks:

• Who is sharing data?
• How is data structured and formatted?
• What fields and structures are common across different datasets?
• What level of standardisation is present?

To understand current practice and its implications for the standard, we follow a 3 stage process:
