This is a sub task of #5926
After discussion with .NET SDK, NuGet will check the existing extensions besides assemblies in packages on nuget.org.

Checked ClientToolsInsights (NiPackageArchiveEntries), for paths start with lib and runtimes, file extensions are like the following:
lib path:

File extension Extension count
.dll 10274208
.xml 3609397
.pdb 2322361
all other extensions 2729831

runtimes path:

File extension Extension count
.dll 680078
.pdb 21271
.xml 16570
all other extensions 371595
