Please describe the issue?

The JSON Testsuite error is happening in several spack based tests and not limited to one e4s version.

Relevant log output

Lmod is automatically replacing "gpu/1.0" with "cpu/1.0".


Note: the module "gpu" cannot be unloaded because it was not loaded.
