I think the effect of Tamper Protection setting should be mentioned in the docs page for Set-MpPreference as some parameters of the cmdlet are greatly affected by the value of that setting 😨
As one example - when Tamper Protection is on, and it is on by default, one cannot pause Defender via this cmdlet. The cmdlet returns no error and the exit code is 0 (success) yet nothing happens. It leaves one wondering what's going on and I'm sure you would agree that we have no shortage of things that make us feel confused every day 😁
Whether Tamper Protection is mentioned once and in general terms in a separate section at the beginning of the document (easy option) or multiple times, one for each affected parameter (more useful but also more challenging to achieve) is not very important.
But I think it should be mentioned one way or the other! 😉
