Text in Markdown chunks disappears

Issue Type: Bug

Open a Markdown chunk. Type something in it. Click in another chunk. The text in the Markdown chunk disappears. I've found I have to "run" the chunk with shift+enter or ctrl+enter for it to stay.

Thanks for the bug.

I can repro too. Simply type in markdown and then put focus into another cell.

Validated. Working now in the insider's build.

Reopening to add tests. Found I managed to break this, i think its good to add tests to prevent such future regressions.
