Unsaved notebook content lost after updating the Python extension #2779

  1. Open the notebook editor, and add a few cells with content. Don't save the file.
  2. Update the Python extension to a different version.
  3. After the extension update, the entire notebook content is gone!

Might as well fix this in the same PR where I fix some other things with storage
