Any idea on an ultimate UI? We need something that is scalable, where we can add new features effortlessy, the current one is quite limited in such respect.
I still have nothing clear, but I was thinking maybe on an eclipse-like tab-based approach.
For exampe we have a main page, a sort of "command and control", where you have all the general information about the application, and from where you can open new tabs for displaying specific features.
E.g. we could have tabs for listing the components, a tab for showing the view tree, a tab for showing actions, and so on.
This could also be mixed, by having main sections as vertical tabs and for each section, having the ability of opening "horizontal" tabs with features limited to the current section.
Horizontal tabs could be arranged, closed, etc.
Just an idea to elaborate more, could also end up being weird
