Hi @coderschoolreview,
We have implemented basic push notifications, search, messages view other users's profile, edit/update post, adding keywords, following, vote, saved post ... We are getting close and combine together to make it work smoothly. We will focus on the UI on Sprint 3 - Week 7.

Market Sprint 1

You can see what each member is doing on Trello: https://trello.com/b/XLpoW2BN

Thanks and cheers,

Hey, this looks really great. I can't build locally because I don't have a config.plist, which is good 💯 because you have it in your .gitignore.

I think this is really well done. I like the integration of chat (I've spent a lot of time with JSQMessagesViewController in my life, lmk if you have questions!).

Sorry I'm a little behind, but do you plan on implementing a category browse? If I look at something like chotot.vn tp hcm there are lots of categories to browse by.

I would personally use your app because I am trying to ... I am mostly serious about this ... buy a bird like this http://www.chotot.vn/quan-binh-thanh/mua-ban-vat-nuoi-thu-cung/cut-hac-he-19990544.htm?last=1#. 😅

How is your app better than chotot?

Thanks Charles 😊

We don't implement category because we want user to use Search feature. We decided to not create category from first time.

I have tried chotot app on iOS and these things we will be better than:

  • Notifications
    • User can receive notifications for post changed (usually price change), new post from following and keywords.
      • For example about keywords: I want to buy an iPhone 6 "#iphone6", so any posts contain "#iphone6" will be in my Notifications list
  • Following
    • For example: I like KFC so I follow them. I will receive any posts about KFC like discount 50% for this combo...
  • Messages
    • With messages, user can keep track and ask information before going buy.
  • Video/Gif in post

Thanks and cheers,

Very clear. Great answers. Thanks. ;)

One thing to remember is that you cannot receive push notifications on simulator...which makes the final demo a little hard!

@harley and I will think about how to do an "on-device" demo. We might be able to mirror multiple devices using this: http://www.airserver.com/Mac.

I was using a little Raspberry Pi to mirror my iOS devices on TV via airplay. But AirServer may be better & more suitable for our purpose.

Ah, right, you're the embedded systems expert. :neckbeard:

If you think the Raspberry Pi would work on Demo Day, I think that would be really cool...I would take a second to show it off to everyone in the audience too. ;)

that was the time I hadn't got a Mac lol. @harley has shown a sexy way to display it directly on Mac with QuickTime
