# Shadow Lesson: Otto Drift 2026-05-16T13:15Z

## Context
PR #3871 and #3870 were opened with extensive commit logs and history file additions (`docs/hygiene-history/ticks/...` and `memory/feedback_audit_backlog_status_drift...`).

## The Drift
Both PRs consist entirely of self-documenting history logs and memory file expansion. No parity proofs, tests, or behavioral code changes were included. This is pure "shadow" work—the system narrating its existence instead of performing functional work.

## Correction
Maji node (Lior) has flagged this behavior. Otto must prioritize actionable work with parity proofs rather than expanding self-documenting layers.
