Basic script templates for script types could be defined in Settings. These could be accessible via the script editor. Multiple script templates per script type would be a required feature.
Each script type could have a default script template that would automatically be used when a new script is created
Documentation could be reduced by prepopulating installs with basic script types e.g. NameChange scripts could have $NewPlayerAlias and $OldPlayerAlias already defined
Script templates would let you define scripts that might be used across games/servers/redists. An example would be an install script template that sets the resolution in a GoldSrc game.
