Log file for debugging problems

It would be nice to have a log file where we can quite verbosely dump data to easier diagnose why problems occur.

I just incurred into this problem and have no idea where to find the log (if there is any):

Yeah, that's a new bug with that the build path is not printed. The fix is included in JuliaLang/julia#27095, sorry.
