Just a reminder issue to eventually add Java support to PkgEval.

Could you elaborate? I used to provide a system python for PyCall, and a system java for JavaCall, but that's fairly fragile (what exact version us supported, etc). Now that PyCall supports installing python with Conda, I removed those system versions.

Yeah, currently we use Conda to install:

  1. Python for PyCall
  2. R for RCall

Perhaps we could also use Conda to install the necessary Java runtime?

Sure, but I presume that would be something to add to JavaCall.jl then.

@aviks The Conda idea is a good idea. Maybe this then needs to be moved away from this issue.
