What version of melonDS DS are you using?

1.1.8

Does the problem happen in standalone melonDS?

I don't know.

What happened?

Observed Behavior:

  1. Load savestate without prior in-game save:
  • Restarted the game.
  • No in-game save data was found.
  1. Load savestate after an in-game save:
  • Restarted the game.
  • In-game save data was present

What should've happened instead?

With "block SRAM overwrite" enabled, loading a save state should not erase existing in-game save data.

Which platforms do you see the problem on?

  • Windows
  • macOS
  • Linux
  • Android
  • iOS
  • tvOS
  • Other (specify below)

Which versions of the OS?

Windows 10

Which libretro frontend are you using?

RetroArch 1.60

1.0.1 is a very old version, could you please update to the latest release and try again? Make sure to save your games normally first, as savestates from 1.0.1 won't work in 1.1.8. It's possible this bug may have already been fixed. I have been informed that this was a typo and that you are indeed using 1.1.8.
