• Next Sprint will be focused on Testing; April 8 - 19; Look out for the signup sheet. The aim is to target 1.0 release after this sprint, unless major blockers are identified prior to or during testing.

• Acquia Drupal 9 webinar takeaways - Bryan Brown

  • The main takeaway was that Symfony 3.x will be EOL 2021 Q4, thus Drupal 8 will not get any security updates after that. With 3.4 in 8.5+, the transition to Symfony 4.0 has started. Currently deprecated functions are highlighted and you have until 8.9? to phase out the deprecated functions. According to Acquia, Drupal 8.9 contain all the functionality for Drupal 9, and it will introduce any API breaking changes.
