facets not appearing in search results in latest isle-dc

I noticed the other day that facets were not appearing in search results when building form the ilse-dc repository. this happens with both make local while using a codebase that was created from the make-local-from-demo codebase output and the au naturel make demo . i see the space for it in the templates but it does not populate with the demo content's subjects.

I see it is working on the sandbox though: http://future.islandora.ca/search?search_api_fulltext=cat
Is there some configuration being missed by my install or is the sandbox on a different commit than the development branch (Islandora-Devops/isle-dc@bb19187)

I think by default it's set up to show subjects (amongst other things). Are you adding subject tags to your repository content. I think if there isn't any subjects defined it will not show the facet block.

If not... it's a misconfiguration on our end.

the settings on there are identical to the sandbox site's configuration.

@hachacha Can you visit the solr admin and confirm the subject field values are in the Solr index?

We downgraded the facets from a loose ^1.3 to just being a strict 1.4 and that worked.
One of the latest versions does not seem to work with facets on islandora.

FWIW, we are running drupal/facets:1.8 in production without issue.
