With Islandora installed but not Islandora Defaults, the Media EVA views have broken/missing handlers and so cause (in part?) PHP errors that break the site (when you try to access an object).

The field storage is there (islandora core?) but unless it's attached to an entity I get a broken/missing handler.

I tried installing Islandora Audio; that didn't work to fix views, but when I went to Media Types > Audio > Add existing field and selected field_media_of and field_media_use, then the views worked again.

We should consider moving that (and any other offending config) from the core feature into islandora_defaults. Or @DonRichards can give us an install profile :P

I'm prepping for rocket surgery on this one. A drupal config transplant, if you will. Wish me luck 🚀

no surgery needed! We proved during TAG that there is no whitescreening if the view is disabled.

I suggest: we ship this view disabled, and add to its "administrative description" that it "Requires media_of to be present on at least one media type."
