I know the board would like to have a discussion about how we handle licences. The patent language issue for our CLAs is on the agenda for November 25th.

There is also a pending discussion about what level these decisions should be made at, since we don't have a formal procedure.

It can't hurt to make Roadmap aware of it, since they are meeting this Friday.

👍 for Roadmap, even though I strongly feel we should have the most permissive license possible and MIT is a good move.

We have official BoD approval to use a MIT license. In order to do that, we'll need to get approval from all contributors to this project. Once we have that approval, I'll update this pull request with updates to the README and composer.json.

So, @daniel-dgi, @DiegoPino, @whikloj, @nigelgbanks, please respond and let me know if you approve changing the license here from GPLv3 to MIT.
