1.All appears OK up to Visualiser as described
2.Shorting pins as shown seems to do nothing
3.Running "Turn into a joystick" gives the fault
AtLibUsbDFU.dll not found
Device manager (Ports)shows it still as Arduino Uno (comm 8)
My device is a "compatible" UNO R3 smd model
Running Windows 7 Professional 64 bit (SP1)
Flip installed
(I'm very new to this)

Well I'll be... the problem was with my board. The 16U2 ISCP header is back to
front on this model. Shorting the 2 pins furthest from the USB conn. did the
trick. Great.
