rename Google Refine to Open Refine? #6501

They have been saying they will re-brand since the Cask was added in #1823. However, the app is still called "Google Refine.app". |
We generally dismiss branding in favor of internal consistency, always basing casks on application names. An exception would be made if the Open Refine beta was "canonical", i.e. recognized by its users as the main release. In that case, the beta release would supersede the stable version in our main repository, and the cask would be renamed accordingly. |
Right. When that happens, open-refine.rb will move into the main repo. |
ah i see, thanks. the impetus for my asking was a failed just curious, is there some way to alias a cask with a secondary name so that a search for open[-]refine returns a match on google-refine? i did a search on the Cask Naming reference and on Google but didn't see anything. |
