I often use INR (Indian Rupee) symbol but it's not there in the keyboard)

Add the ₹ symbol

Use case
It is a currency symbol that I need to use almost everyday.

Which currencies you get depends on the locale you choose. E.g. when you select en_IN or some Indian language you will have the ₹ symbol.

Thanks! I was using system language (English UK) but now switched the languages. But as in the screenshot (Gboard) all the symbols are available there in Openboard as well except Indian Rupee. So it'd be nice to have those symbols there.

It will be a while until I'll come to this, because doing it properly is a little more work.
Actually the currency symbols should be customizable, i.e. the user can choose currencies that are shown always shown, independent of the keyboard language.

Under Settings > Advanced > Customize Symbols Layout you can manually edit what symbols you want to appear for each key's long-press.

I checked this out. The ₹ is written as $$$ in that which is confusing. Anyways switching the region in keyboard fixed it for me.
