Hey there, I have encountered a bug with the vibration/haptic feedback. When typing, every few key presses, the vibration seems to randomly vibrate extra hard, like a spasm when typing. It seems especially noticeable when typing picks up in speed. I have checked all of the delay settings and have found that the only way to somewhat fix the issue is having the vibration turned high, so it cannot vibrate much higher than what is set. I have tested other keyboards and have not expirenced this effect. Hoping to see if there is a way to get this bug fixed as I like this keyboard a lot!

Current setting for vibration
Keypress vibration duration: 8ms
Vibrate in do not disturb mode: ON

App version
2.3

Device:

  • Model: [Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra (US)]
  • OS: [Android 14]

The haptic feedback code calls Vibrator.vibrate.
To me it looks like an issue with your system. Maybe because defining vibration length is deprecated a proper implementation was treated with low priority? No idea, but the system is apparently not reliably doing what it's asked to do.
