rustls-platform-verifier compatibility

Hello! I am working on integrating gitoxide into https://github.com/mitre/hipcheck. I am having trouble determining how to integrate rustls_platform_verifier with gitoxide. I need to update the HTTP client certificates, in order to work on a corporate environment.

I want to write something like this:

use rustls::ClientConfig;
use rustls_platform_verifier::ConfigVerifierExt;
let config = ClientConfig::with_platform_verifier();

and have gitoxide use config. Is this possible or is there a better way of doing this within the confines of gitoxide?

gitoxide attempts to respect many of the curl related Git configuration options, and through that mechanism it would be possible to configure connections accordingly. Such support would have to be added though - right now nothing is done directly with rustls

It also matters which backend is used, reqwest or curl, as each of them has their own configuration and implementation.
