This study did not discussed the method for performing meta-analysis or the treatment of heterogeneity. Further the data was presented as risk ratio, a non-traditional approach to diagnostic test.

It will use the bivariate method from meta4diag package for metaanalysis. The variation on the Spot-Sign project will be the use of Bayesian approach to metaanalysis. The choice of Bayesian method is due to the small number of available studies (n<20), spare data, and which can pose a problem with convergence when performing numeric approach to maximum likelihood for bivariate model. Data will be entered via RedCap.
