I'm having some problems trying to install this driver (Error 2)

So, i don't know much about terminals and stuff but i need this pc running and it has the worsts specs and because of that i'm running on linux Mint and it has been doing good.
I'll write down my command lines and post the pc answers.
Firts i tried to do the automated install ''git clone https://github.com/FreedomBen/rtl8188ce-linux-driver.git && cd rtl8188ce-linux-driver && ./install.sh ''
It ask me to switch to to the recommended kernel and i do Y to all of his requests. It goes coding and then he just stops and says

_ERROR: modpost: ''_rtl92c_phy_calculate_bit_shift" [/home/gon/Downloads/rtl8188ce-driver-driver/rtl8192ce/rtl8192ce.ko] undefined!
make [3] : *** [scripts/Makefile.modpost : 133: /home/gon/Downloads/rtl8188ce-driver/rtl8192ce/Module.symvers] Erro 1_

After this he deletes this file '' Module.symvers''
Then he goes
make [2] : *** [Makefile: 1830: modules] Erro 2
It repeat this error for makefile 30: default and Makefile33: all --> Error 2 and thats it.
If any of you guys could help me i would be really thankfull, i'm not so much into this side of computers but i'm deffetly looking forward to learn and solve this error.
I also tried the manual installation process but i don't know if i did it correctly.

I'm getting this same error trying to get Ubuntu 20.04 (kernel 5.15) wifi running on an old HP Pavilion.
