put mm0/mm1 files inside their own directory and only compile those files from there

Having random mm0/mm1 files inside the top level directory can trip up the test script.
We should either have a dedicated src directory where we store our mm0/mm1 files and have the scripts only compile/check whatever's in there or have a way to manually specify which files we wanna consider as part of the project. Personally, I'd much prefer the first option.
