Email or phone of affected tester (no customers): [email protected]
Logs: https://stackoverflow.com/c/expensify/questions/4856
Expensify/Expensify Issue URL:

Issue reported by: @danielrvidal
Slack conversation (hyperlinked to channel name): #qa

Action Performed:

  1. Log in with a new public domain account without a + iteration
  2. Select the option to manage my team expenses
  3. Finish the onboarding flow

Expected Result:

The user should get a real guide assigned to their workspace.

Relevant comment from Daniel:

I think there is logic where we don’t assign a guide if the account is using a + or test in the email. If I sign up with a gmail account right now, it looks like it’s assigning me to a QA account, which isn’t good. Or it must be somehow picking up I’m testing but I’m not sure why it this email would be going to QA.

Actual Result:

The user was assigned the qa guide that should only be assigned to accounts with the + iteration.

Workaround:

Can the user still use Expensify without this being fixed? Have you informed them of the workaround?
