[Linux] App freezes when playing a song

When I select a song, the app freezes for about one minute.

Steps to reproduce the bug

I am using Arch Linux with i3 Window Manager. When I try to play a song, the song is loaded and then played without any problem. However, the GUI freezes for a while (as well as the mouse pointer shape inside Kaku's window, although the pointer itself still moves).

OBS.: I tried to use the application on xfce4 instead of i3wm and it worked just fine! So it has something to do with the interaction with i3 :/
