A short description of the use case for the new test content.

This test content is supposed to check the robustness of a player. In dash.js we recently introduced support for recovering from MEDIA_ERR_DECODE errors, see Dash-Industry-Forum/dash.js#3743

Test content requirements

General description and requirements

  • A single period MPD
  • One audio and one video AdaptationSet
  • Duration shall be between and 20-40 seconds
  • Insert one or more broken segments that cause an MSE decode error. For instance the segments might not match the init data.

Options:

  • different codec
  • elementary stream conformance problem
  • etc.
