Not Able to connect to a virtual machine over SSH

Posting this here to document and keep track the list of efforts in case this issue arises again:

Errors faced:

• Followed instructions here, but HPC password did not work. (Password prompt kept on popping up)

Solution:

• Jonathan B extended HPC account to work on openHPC by creating a home directory for me and a created gpfs_projects folder to handle big data
• Fu-Jyh Luo re-enabled by HPC account in the imaging network Idap
• On VSCode, click on the "Remote Explorer" tab on the left hand side of the nav bar. Hover over SSH and click on the plus sign. Enter "shh yourHPCusername@172.31.151.221" and open the first config file that pops up. (Should be named C:\Users\ HPCusername .ssh\config. Keep on repeating this last step until you can see your HPC username pop up on your config file.
