Jellyfin-Rclone - Jellyfin with an internal Rclone mount

This mod adds the rclone package for internal network/cloud storage mount to the Jellyfin Docker container.

Merges Images

This mod merges the linuxserver/docker-jellyfin and mumie/rclone-mount docker images for internal network and cloud storage mount via the rclone application to the containers file system. The reason for this mod is to prevent the use of mounted host paths with complicated bind/bind-propagation:shared volumes to easily share the rclone mounted media libaries with the jellyfin server.

Docker compose

The docker-compose file requires the entries devices: -/dev/fuse, security_opt: -apparmor:unconfined and cap_add: -SYS_ADMIN so that the rclone fuse file system works properly.

Settings in Jellyfin

Under server administration in Server > Libaries the mounted rclone volume can be added via its dedicated MountPoint="/mnt/mediaefs". For example, a mounted cloude storage with a movie folder called movies could be added as the jellyfin movies library with its /mnt/mediaefs/movies path.

PUID="1000" Jellyfin Specify the user PUID for mounted host volume reads/writes
PGID="1000" Jellyfin Specify the group PGID for mounted host volume reads/writes
TZ="Europe/London" Jellyfin Specify a timezone to use (e.g. Europe/London)
UMASK_SET="<022>" Jellyfin Umask subtracts from permissions based on it's value

Building the image

docker build --no-cache -t coolimc/jellyfin-rclone .

docker tag coolimc/jellyfin-rclone coolimc/jellyfin-rclone:latest

docker push coolimc/jellyfin-rclone:latest
