I updated my app from Microsoft.Toolkit.Mvvm v7.0.2 to v7.1.0 and it now fails my CI build:

CSC : error MVVMTK0013: The source generator features from the MVVM Toolkit require consuming projects to set the C# language version to at least C# 9.0

I'm not using any source generator features. And I don't want to use them until they are considered stable. I would want to stay with C# 8. What is the recommended approach?

Extra info: My business logic targets netstandard2.1 and my GUI app targets net5.0-windows with WPF.

Uhm... I'm working with a big (closed source) project with a tight schedule. I don't think I have the time right now, because I don't know exactly where to start looking at. For now I will revert to using v7.0.2 . I will try to create a minimal repo later.

Hi team, I'd like to update my CommunityToolkit package to 7.1.0, but noticed that that version is not available on nuget yet. Latest on nuget is 7.0.3. When can we expect the latest to be published to nuget? Thanks!

Hi @jsschultz the CommunityToolkit packages come from our WinUI pipeline which is waiting on some dependencies: #3912 (reply in thread)

If you need the new features for .NET only things (like MVVM or HighPerformance) you could flip back to the old package identities/namespaces, but that'd probably a pain, especially to just flip back again for the next release.

We're hoping to get an updated WinUI 3 release out within the next week or so which will have all our 7.1 features and be on top of the latest 1.0-preview of the WASDK (if you are using WinUI 3).

After that we'll be splitting out our .NET packages for future releases, so we won't have this odd pipeline/artifact tied to specific technologies (if you're just using .NET Standard). Hope that answers your question for now.
