ES module support?

Are there plans for es module support? Even transpiling to a compatible format? I wasn't finding any existing issues related to the topic.

It seemed odd I wasn't finding any existing issues on this repo if it was the problem I thought it was, but couldn't figure out where else to look at the time. Through other attempts to solve the ultimate issue in my app, I stumbled into the root cause and solution. evanw/esbuild#1921 (comment)
