Suggestion

When considering what's the most "rocket efficient" way of doing things, the rockets view helps out. However it currently can't help with recipes that require fluid, where barrelling them and launching the barrels may be the most attractive option. I think Fluoroketone may be a good example where rocketing Fluoroketone barrels off Aquilo may be the most rocket efficient way to make Railgun turrets. The player can manually add the unbarelling recipe, but "(fluid not applicable)" just isn't a super useful way to describe this. I'd suggest "(use barrels if rocketing)" would be more useful. Additionally in the Belts view, sometimes you switch to the Belts view and then simply forget, then you can't figure out why it's not applicable. A more helpful tooltip like "(fluids not shown on belts)" would be nice.

More generally, it seems to me like some views only apply to fluids, and others only apply to items. It might be more helpful if the player could switch these independently, like viewing belts of items and items/minute for fluids. But simply telling the player more specifically why the fluid amount isn't applicable would be nice so they can more easily figure out how to fix it.

Thanks for the well thought-out suggestions. I'll get to them when I have the time.

I actually had it show barrels for fluids on the belt view before, but I thought it might be too confusing to people. But thinking about it again, I'm not so sure. It does get awkward because for modded situations, you might transport some fluids in something other than barrels (jerry cans in Pyanodon's for example), and there's not really a good way to detect this.

Soo yeah idk there isn't a great universal way to do it. I'll keep this card around and think about it some more at some point, but for now it's shelved.

Having separate views for items and fluids sounds nice on paper, but it'd be too complex I think.
