Locally on my comptuer the problem was solved by putting this file in a directory available in $PATH and making it executable:

https://www.dectris.com/features/features-eiger-x/h5toxds/

XDS found it and did its job.

Example of a h5 dataset with failed analysis:

[mxtest]/dataset.xhtml?persistentId=doi:10.18150/FK2/WEHDVF
