Hi,

I have an Android 14 (Samsung F15, if it matters). I find that if I disable notification permission, Syncthing-fork won't run at all. I get the "Grant permission" for notification screen and it won't move from there until I allow it.

Thing is, I don't want/need the persistent notification ("Syncthing is running [...]").

I looked in all the issues here, and found mention of some Android requirement of showing that notification (otherwise it will kill the process).

But I have 3 other programs: KDE Connect, NetGuard, and ntfy.sh that run continuously without requiring a persistent notification, so I'm not sure that is true, at least in Android 14.

No matter if you want it, the notification is required. Or you change the whole code to another worker model. (No offense meant)
