We have run into similar issues, an official calendar component with support a user defined number of sources with colours would be great. |

Hello,
In my Budibase projects, I often need to display calendar views, and for this, I currently use the budibase-fullcalendar plugin. While it’s a generally solid solution, there are a few limitations that impact my workflow and hinder overall usability.
Firstly, there is a lack of dedicated support: the developer seems to have stopped updating the plugin, and there is no official assistance available should issues arise or adjustments be needed.
Another challenge is the restriction on colors and display options. Currently, the plugin only allows two colors, which means I’m limited to two calendar sources. For my purposes, it would be highly beneficial to have more color options, allowing me to differentiate entries by priority or criticality. This would be particularly valuable for quickly identifying prioritized events and tasks, similar to the clarity provided in the new Grid View. A flexible color-coding option would significantly improve visual clarity.
Additionally, there’s the issue of setting the start of the week. In Germany, the week typically starts on Monday, but the plugin always defaults to Saturday as the first day. This inconsistency can be confusing for my German colleagues, as it doesn’t align with the familiar weekly structure.
In summary, I would love to see better and more flexible calendar support in Budibase, with options for customization and ongoing support. As it stands, the current solution is merely a compromise that just about meets the needs.
Best regards,
Chris
