  • the Welsh word for it is acnod not ampersand (sibling to collnod, gofynnod and dyfynnod as seen in file)

  • literally just the ligature for some reason

As a side note: Think it really just depends on our direction/opinion on what we want to refer to | as. If we specifically mean to refer to it in a programming context, aka: pipe then direct untranslated english is fairly universal due to the influence of english on tech jargon (particularly across latin, germanic, & indo-aryan native speakers/regions) - there are also cases where the region/language has its own specific term parallel (ha) to pipe - ex: es -> pleca However if we just mean the special character itself then translations such as Barra vertical makes sense.
