v4.0.0 release / publish to npm

This has been mentioned a couple of times but I wanted to check if there were any issues that should be addressed first.

I don't mind but I'm not up to speed on any release process you may have been following.

I'll do it real quick. It's just npm version major to change the version number, then npm publish and git push && git push --tags to keep the public repo up to date.
