RPM/DEB packages

I couldn't get the flatpak to work.
Importing my Thunderbird profile doesn't work.
I wish there's an apt repository to add and install deb packages of Betterbird.

No import is needed, you can start BB on the TB profile using the -p switch.

As for DEB packages, that's up to the respective distros to do. Like TB, we supply compiled binaries only. Fortunately some volunteers are supporting Arch and a Flatpak. Any idea what's not working? Maybe @mfschumann can take a look. Or was it just the import issue. That was reported in issue #72, but it's a TB bug.

@joshcangit I am happy to help with getting you started with the flatpak. Have you migrated your .thunderbird folder before starting Betterbird? For the flatpak to pick up your .thunderbird folder must be located in ~/.var/app/eu.betterbird.Betterbird.

Once the profile folder is in the correct location, you can run flatpak run eu.betterbird.Betterbird -P and you should get a selection dialog for choosing the profile you want to use.
