I don't know best practices for stale tickets, but this issue came up again for a user so I'm re-opening. p9F6qB-2AQ-p2 EDIT: to be specific, this user is bothered that the WordPress.com site address shows up as Archive and their home page is a second entry, as is described in the second half of this ticket. |

I don't know best practices for stale tickets, but this issue came up again for a user so I'm re-opening. Re-opening a stale issue that has reoccurred is 👍, thanks @jessestu ! Another best practice would be to include a short quote from the user explaining the problem or confusion and the internal reference number at the bottom. This helps people who either do not have access to Automattic's internal tools or even if they do and cannot easily access them quickly. |
Another confused user on a Jetpack site: 2468699-zen |
Also have a user with an Atomic site on wpcom that has this issue. They have never used the WordPress.com site address, but see stats for both: in #19506287-hc |

Thanks for your involvement! |
I am reopening this issue as this came up again here 9360219-zen. It appears that the label "Home page / Archives" on the Stats is causing confusion to our users. In addition, the URL shows the WPCOM address and not the *wpcomstaging nor the site's primary domain name. Here's a screencast of a sample: https://cln.sh/ft103CGb |
OpenAI suggested the following labels for this issue:

Thanks @gibrown ; do I need to move this back to wp-calypso? I'm just catching up on pings here and noticed another stats issue I'd moved to Jetpack got moved back. |
Yup, since the Stats screen is developed in the Calypso repo, it's probably better there. |
Steps to reproduce:
(fewer for one of them so you can tell them apart easily when you check stats for them next)
Result: stats for the static front page are filed under that page's title even though it is the home page and stats for the posts page are labeled "Home page / Archives" even though it is not currently the home page.
